A CHARTER ORDINANG EXEMPTING THE CITY OF INMAN, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 79-5028, AS AMENDED BY 1990 HOUSE BILL NO. 2700, AND PROVIDING SUBSTITUTE AND ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS ON THE SAME SUBJECT.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF INMAN, KANSAS:

Section 1. The City of Inman, by the power vested in it by Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas and as provided by K.S.A. 79-5036(a). as amended by 1990 House Bill No. 2700, hereby elects to exempt itself from the provisions of K.S.A. 79-5028, as amended by 1990 House Bill No. 2700.

Section 2. The following is hereby substituted for the provisions of K.S.A. 79-5028, as amended: The provisions of K.S.A. 79-5035, inclusive, and amendments thereto, shall not limit the levy of taxes by the Governing Body of the City of Inman.
